Meet Mrs. Fagan
Hello!
Welcome to our Third Grade Class! I am looking forward to our year together. Previously, I worked for Reed School located in Tiburon, CA where I taught first grade for three years. In this position, my team and I created a STEAM lab for K-2 students and sat on the district technology team. Before my time at Reed, I taught at a private school in Daly City for five years as a Kindergarten/First Grade Teacher. In this position, I encouraged critical thinking, promoted an ethic of caring and understanding, and facilitated the acquisition of lifelong learning skills--all values I will instill in your child this year.
Before my private school experience, I worked as a Lead Kindergarten Science Instructor for Camp Galileo in Palo Alto for two summers. Prior to Galileo, I lived in San Diego as a Major Gift Coordinator for six years with San Diego State University. Fundraising and Special Events are still a passion I have today.
In May 2015, I graduated with my Master's in School Administration from Notre Dame de Namur University. I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies with a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Mathematics from San Diego State University. As an Educator, I believe in having high expectations for all students. Raising to the challenge helps students gain independence. This allows students to become problem solvers by taking risks, making mistakes, and building confidence.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, dancing, swimming, eating sushi, and the company of my husband and beloved fat cat, Norton.
Looking forward to a great year!
